Cloud Strife
A mercenary from Nibelheim who believes he was in SOLDIER.
Cloud Strife
A mercenary who hires himself to AVALANCHE for the Sector 1 reactor bombing and stays because Tifa asks him to. He introduces himself as ex-SOLDIER, First Class.
On the dated fields
Two things on this page are worth reading as a demonstration rather than as lore.
affiliation and job carry windows, not values, because both changed. He is Shinra
infantry from the year he leaves Nibelheim until the Nibelheim Incident, and a mercenary
from the present day. Both are marked inferred: the 1997 game shows the infantry
uniform in the Nibelheim flashback but never gives an enlistment date.
residence is anchored to an event rather than a year — he lives in the Sector 7 slums
until [[canon/event/sector-7-plate-fall|the plate falls]], which happens partway through
2007. Bounding on the event says exactly that, and the build resolves it to the same
(year, sequence) pair the era boundary uses.
Models
aaaa.hrc is the field skeleton; afie.hrc is his second, used where the first will not
do. Neither is an entity — they are archive members, listed here and indexed in
_index/models.md.
